Mississauga City Council unanimously passes motion calling for the release of hostages and immediate ceasefire in Gaza

On November 22 at City Council, I with the rest of City Council voted unanimously to call for the release of hostages and immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

I condemn the violence against innocent people and terrorism in all its forms. While the conflict in the Middle East is half a world away, it hits home in our City. Many Jewish and Arab Peoples call Mississauga home and have ties back to this conflict. I extend my deepest sympathies for the immense suffering and loss of life for many individuals and families. I continue to advocate for peace, especially here in our City.
