Experience is something that we all look for in our elected leaders. We want to see that they have been through challenges, and come out better on the other side. This week’s guest is John Tory, a man who has experience across the private sector as well as at every level of government. Throughout his career, John has worn many hats, but best known for his time as Mayor of Toronto.
John is a lawyer, broadcaster, business leader, and if you remember is Black and Gold Raptors’ jacket, really into sports. Politically, he was principal secretary to Premier Bill Davis in the 80s, ran the federal party campaign in the 90s, and leader of the Ontario PCs from 2004 to 2009.

Mayor Cam has done a lot in Guelph to go from one of the cities with the slowest building approval times to one of the fastest. We also talk about how we can do more to support our neighbours without homes, what it's like being the mayor, and Cam's vintage blender collection.
